Use Case - Signing a leasing contract
Last year, the leasing industry reached over PLN 100 billion of financed investments - a record that analysts did not expect. Almost half of the market is the financing of light vehicles, the vast majority of which are passenger cars. This year is expected to be even better - double-digit growth is expected. The results of this industry confirm the enormous importance of leasing for the economy. The challenge for lessors is appropriate automatic onboarding of companies.
This challenge can be divided into:
- Verification of the company's credibility
- Verification of the identity of representatives, in accordance with their representation in the National Court Register
- Delivering the contract remotely
- Signing a contract
The dynamic growth of the leasing industry in Poland puts it in a high position in Europe. However, it is not only about financial results, but also about cutting-edge practices drawn from global markets. The challenge is the automation of sales processes and remote customer service with full verification of both identity and financial capacity. The form of signing contracts is also an important issue. The remote process uses a qualified signature. The government is already working on solutions that will simplify formalities and allow advanced signatures.
Solution:
- Accurate verification across a wide range of data – Digital Gateways starts verification from a wide range of Mastercard resources, which allows you to immediately check whether the company registering for the service is who it claims to be. At the same time, the analysis of the so-called fingerprint of the client's browser and device is being done. Therefore, the information collected while the user is on the website is checked, which enables initial anti-fraud verification.
- Checking the company's credibility - Using the Tax Identification Number (NIP), Digital Gateways checks information about the company in available public sources, including: its status to ensure that it is active and its activities have not been suspended. It also confirms the type of business it conducts in the list of PKD codes (Polish Classification of Activities), and also verifies sanctions lists, i.e. it checks it in terms of AML (anti-money laundering). Digital Gateways also focuses on financial issues, i.e. checking the company's financial credibility, including checking its creditworthiness (here AIS is an excellent tool to do it automatically). If we are dealing with an online store, its website is also a subject to verification - it checks whether it has regulations and whether it has an MCC (Merchant Category Code) code assigned to companies that handle payments by payment cards.
- Remote verification of the company's representatives identity - If the company's verification is positive, its representatives indicated in the National Court Register are checked. Digital Gateways uses all the most important and available methods of identity verification in the remote world. These are: biometric video verification of faces and documents, verification of electronic documents, mObywatel 2.0 application, analysis of banking data using the MojeID technology (provided as the KIR SA hub) and Open Banking (through its daughter company AIS Gateway). Importantly, if the company has two representatives, both of them must be verified.
- Qualified signature – After successful verification, company representatives can submit a digital signature. The mobile, qualified electronic signature mSzafir provided by KIR allows you to sign documents on any device from anywhere. Legislative plans include allowing advanced signatures, which will significantly simplify formalities performed remotely.
A tool for the full verification process - the onboarding process is multi-stage and complicated because it takes into account many elements that need to be verified quickly, efficiently and effectively. Digital Gateways has a proven tool that supports this process and facilitates full control of the entity registering for the service.
