Sharing Economy is just gaining popularity in Poland, while in the world it has been operating since the 1970s. Eventually, however, our approach to ownership began to evolve, which is definitely facilitated by the development of technology. The ubiquitous Internet, mobile payments and constant access to smartphones with applications allow you to be independent and at the same time function in a sustainable way. These are two arguments that are particularly important for the new generation entering adult life, which is more aware of its impact on the surrounding environment.
Challenge:
Sharing a car, motorcycle, scooter or bicycle, or even an apartment, is consistent with a sustainable approach to life. However, the challenge is to effectively verify the driver or lessee so as not to expose yourself to financial losses. It may also be problematic to check the documents and then sign an agreement confirming the rental or lease.
Solution:
Accurate verification across a wide range of data - Thanks to the fact that Digital Gateways starts verification from a wide range of Mastercard resources, you can immediately check whether the person registering for the service is who they claim to be and thus quickly detect a fraud attempt. At the same time, the analysis of the so-called fingerprint of the client's browser and device. Therefore, the information collected while the user is on the website is checked, which enables initial anti-fraud verification.
Verification of scanned documents – OCR (optical character recognition) technology allows scanning a traditional document with a phone through optical character recognition. Documents with an electronic layer can be scanned using NFC (near-field communication). To verify the authenticity of documents, Digital Gateways uses video verification and a liveness test - the user records a short video in which he shows his face and makes a random gesture.
Checking financial capacity – If remote income verification is necessary, Digital Gateways, using AIS Gateway services, checks the client's financial capacity and credibility. Thanks to open banking, he gains access to his payment account and confirms the necessary information, e.g. source of income. Importantly, AIS Gateway provides immediate access to current banking data. The connection with banks is achieved by connecting to Mastercard Connect API, which is an integrator of banking APIs. The entire verification process takes place remotely.
Electronic signature – After successful verification, the tenant can place a digital signature on the contract. The mobile, qualified electronic signature mSzafir provided by KIR allows you to sign documents on any device from anywhere.
The entire process is secured with blockchain technology - Digital Gateways provides a qualified audit log in the process, i.e. the history of activity in a given service using a Durable Medium, including blockchain technology, a qualified timestamp and a qualified seal. This is an additional security for each customer verification when it needs to be secured in a permanent way.
